A Day of Creativity & Cuteness

I have decided to focus on creativity this year in a different way...art journaling. This is something I have admired on many other people's blogs and portfolios.

My friend Marit started her first workshop - Let It Loose. The first prompt was to look out one of our windows and describe what we saw.

(click on the photo for a view of the journaling)

We have really tall grass right now.

Today was also Superbowl Sunday. Caitlin was invited to a Superbowl party at church. I have been trying to encourage her to socialize with others and to think about how she looks when she leaves the house. (She is not much on combing her hair.) Today I thought she looked really cute.
This is a little crocheted hat I bought her at a craft bazaar last year.
I am loving it.
She's going to be a teenager next month!!!!

I love the colours behind your journalling!

Caitlin looks so sweet ~ probably not what an almost teen wants to read/hear! I understand her reluctance to brush her hair; I have the same resistance to wearing lipstick!!

Creativity and cuteness....you are so right Annemarie.

Love the blue, pink and purple colours of your art journaling and the fence, the tree, the snake, the bird and the writing are visually and collectively interesting.

And last but never least Caitlin looks really gorgeous in that crocheted pink hat....really suits her.

what can I say?
that I admire your talent, your creativity, your fabulous way of rounding up everything and get it done?
I have said that many times though, I know I may be repetitive, but I'm always amazed by your talent, stamina and huge heart.
Caitlin, needless to say, is looking gorgeous.
I wish I could say something along the lines o Cozyflier, but I'm afraid teenage times is far away from the fun times to me...but I'm still having a good time. (with Sarita)
Just carry one being yourself , we ll get there in the end, if my parents did...we sure will LOL

It's awesome to see detailed photo's of your art journal page here AnneMarie! I love it!!!! You know I do! And your daughter... oh wow, that hat suits her sooooo well! And I, myself, are loving the teenage years of my kid more then the years before that... but it's a boy and I think girls are different. One thing is important in those years: be yourself (and be honest)
