I Love Bluebonnets

Image
One of the best things about living in Texas is the abundance of bluebonnets that spread along the highways and roadsides. Most Texans spend at least one weekend looking for the best place to take pictures of their children in the perfect field of blue. I am no different. Last weekend was a sad time because we experienced the loss of a my Aunt Rose, but I couldn't let the once a year appearance of these spectacular wildflowers go unnoticed so on my way to dropping James off at the sitter, I quickly stopped at a field and we ran and jumped into a bald spot to quickly snap some photos. These aren't my best photos, but flowers are cheery and just what we needed at the time.

Reunited and It Feels so Good.

I got to use the Olympus camera today that I had traded over to my mom for the Kodak. I was so happy. Here are the results. Mom, James and I went to Salado today for a little window shopping (a concept that is lost on a five year old boy, by the way.) Along the way we came across this field of bluebonnets. So I pulled into a nearby parking lot and got James out, and Mom and I started taking pictures. Although the camera reunion is only temporary, it made felt good to be able to take good pictures again.
