I Love Bluebonnets

One of the best things about living in Texas is the abundance of bluebonnets that spread along the highways and roadsides. Most Texans spend at least one weekend looking for the best place to take pictures of their children in the perfect field of blue. I am no different.

Last weekend was a sad time because we experienced the loss of a my Aunt Rose, but I couldn't let the once a year appearance of these spectacular wildflowers go unnoticed so on my way to dropping James off at the sitter, I quickly stopped at a field and we ran and jumped into a bald spot to quickly snap some photos.

These aren't my best photos, but flowers are cheery and just what we needed at the time.

I am glad you didn't break the tradition of capturing these lovely shots of the bluebonnets and your children Annemarie.
Thinking of you and your Mum and sending lots of love and light to help you through this sad time.

I'm so sorry about your aunt. It's nice that even though we go through sad times, the world still provides us with beauty. Those bluebonnets are gorgeous.

I love the bluebonnets, too. In Japan we have the cherry blossoms which I feel compelled to take pictures of every year thinking I am going to get that perfectly beautiful, award-winning picture, not that I ever enter any contests!

So sorry to hear about your aunt. Prayers for you and your family.

I'm sorry for your loss. We have daffodils everywhere this time of year, but I don't think they'll make it to easter.
